Schools re-opening

Good morning,
There has been a lot of media coverage over the last couple of days regarding the re-opening of our schools. I have a meeting with the local authority on Monday morning and I will be in touch with you all once I know all of the information. I am in the dark as much as you are which is very frustrating and makes it more difficult to plan. Take care everyone and thank you for you. Mrs Priest-Jones.

Thank you

Good afternoon all,  we have nearly completed week 4! I hope you are all doing okay. I know, it’s getting more difficult to keep going with the monotony of it all. Thank you as ever to the children and parents that are doing what they can at home to complete online tasks. If you are struggling to engage or help your child, we are here to help so please give school a ring or message your class teachers through seesaw. We are here to listen and to support.
If you need care and support provision next week for your child/children, please let your class teacher know or ring Bev in the office. I need numbers as soon as possible so that the bubbles have staff to support. Thank you. Take care and enjoy your weekend. Mrs PJ.

Distance learning

Good afternoon, just a quick message to thank all the children, parents and carers that have engaged with the distance learning since we went into lockdown. Teachers give me an update every Friday and I am pleased to see so many children taking responsiblity for their learning. I am very aware of the children that haven’t contributed to any of their learning and I will be in touch with you shortly. Please answer our messages and answer your phones! It’s important school and parents are in contact with eachother so that your children don’t miss out on important learning experiences. We can help and offer support! I know it’s difficult, I have 2 boys at home myself. Have a lovely weekend and lets start a fresh on Monday. Thank you.  Mrs Priest-Jones and staff.

Covid information

Good morning, I hope you are all keeping safe and well. We are missing your children dreadfully and like you want to get back to normality. Please can I ask that you continuet to contact either your class teacher or Mrs Thomas in the office if you or your children have covid 19. It’s important we are informed as soon as possible so that we can notify the local authority. Thank you. Mrs Priest-Jones

Key workers – Care and Support

Just to confirm that if you are a key worker, you can only send your children into school on the days that you are working and have no other arrangements for your children. Do not send children to school if you are at home! This was not the reason Care and Support was set up in the first place. I will be monitoring this situation particularly as our numbers are increasing. I need to keep my staff and our children safe. Thank you for your understanding.

Care and Support

Good morning, if your child is in school for care and support on a Thursday, please can you make sure that he/she is wearing suitable clothing for exercising as George our coach will continue to deliver sessions to each bubble. Thank you. Mrs Priest-Jones

School closure

Good afternoon, I hope you managed to have a nice weekend. We were notified of the extended dates for school closure at the same time as parents were last week which is why I haven’t been in touch sooner. Just to confirm however that we will remain closed until at least 29th January, with a view that Welsh Government will extend this date if Covid 19 rates don’t decrease over the next 2 weeks. Please engage with your class teacher if you have any concerns or drop me an email if I can offer you any support.  Please remember if you are isolating you should not be leaving your family home as it puts others at risk. Take care and keep safe. Mrs Priest-Jones
