Isolation – due to covid

If you have children in secondary school that have been sent home to isolate due to bubble closure they should NOT be bringing younger siblings to St Anne’s. You are putting other families at risk and this is not fair. Follow government guidance and keep your children at home, even if they’re not showing symptoms. Next time this is brought to my attention, I will report individual families to the authorities. Thank you.

Transition

Good afternoon, unfortunately we have been informed that transition for Year 5 pupils moving to high school will not be going ahead due to the levels of covid cases rising in some schools and in some communities. We will also not be able to invite new nursery pupils and parents in to school for the same reason. Your child’s high school should be in touch regarding alternative plans and Mrs Garnham will be in touch with nursery parents before the end of the term to discuss arrangments for September. Children will only spend one hour with their new teachers on Thursday’s “Common Transfer day”. They will not move into their new classrooms but staff will visit them in their current classes. I hope this makes sense. We certainly don’t want to have to close bubbles before the end of this term. Thank you.

Summer Fayre

Good Morning,

As I am sure you are aware, due to Covid, events like the Summer Fayre will look very different this year.

It has been decided that for this year we will hold the Summer Fayre for the children but will not be inviting parents etc. We will send more details out about this in the coming weeks.

We are, however, asking for your help. We are looking for donations of good quality toys, games, books  for the stalls. It is the perfect time for a clear out and we would be very grateful for any donations. Please could all donations be sent in by Monday 5th July so we can quarantine them for the relevant amount of time.

Many Thanks

Friends of St Anne’s.

School Trips

During the summer term, we are hoping to be able to take the children out on school trips. All trips will be paid for via the parent pay app as we are no longer able to receive money in school, unless collecting for charity.  Please therefore ensure you are set up on parent pay so that you are prepared. Thank you.

Bikes and Scooters

Good Afternoon,

After yesterdays walk around by the Health and Safety Committee, it was noted that bikes and scooters left by the carpark gate on the Infant Yard is a Health and Safety hazard. If children have to come to school on a bike or scooter, parents should take them straight back home after drop off. If you HAVE to leave them at school, they must be locked to the fence and school takes no responsibility if they are damaged or stolen.

Thank you.

Fundraising

Good morning, We have been able to send a donation of £182 to a parish charity that is doing lots of work in Ethiopia. Thank you so much to everyone that contributed to non-uniform day. Mrs Priest-Jones.

Parent Pay

We have had a message from Wrexham Council saying emails had been sent out in error yesterday to parents saying your parent pay account is owing dinner money for your child.  The council have asked us to inform parents to ignore this email due to it being sent out in error.
Could I also remind parents who have not yet activated their account for Parent Pay, could you please do this as soon as possible. Parent Pay is used for paying for Music Lessons, School Trips, Non Uniform Days etc.  If you require your child’s username and password please contact Mrs Thomas in the school office.
Thank You
