Autumn Term 1and 2 we will be looking at the topic of 'Cynefin'. The children be developing an understanding of the locality, Welsh history and the language. We will be looking at Owain Glyndwr and the impact he made on the Welsh language. This will be our starting point and the children will then decide on what they would like to do within this topic.
Our classroom topics are changed every half term or term.
We encourage the children to become more independent learners through the use of having challenges linked to the chosen topic. Please support and encourage your child to read regularly and practise their times tables.
Please ensure your child has a healthy snack and water bottle each day and that dinners are booked using Parent Pay.

Autumn 1
We have established very good links with the Happy Hedgehog Cafe in Caia Park. We visit once a fortnight to help with gardening and singing with the choir. We love chatting with the friends from the dementia friendly group.

Harvest week
Hello Yellow day
We dressed up in yellow/melyn clothes to celebrate Mental Health day. We did lots of activities and we particularly enjoyed doing yoga and some happy breathing.
Pumpkin picking
We visited Magical Malpas Pumpkin farm. We all chose a pumpkin to pick and take back to school. We had lots of fun / llawer o hwyl finding our way out of the maze and petting the donkeys and goats.
When we got back to school we painted and drew pictures of our pumpkins. We measured the perimeter of our pumpkins and weighed them to find the largest and heaviest.
Wrexham Music Cooperative
Mr Hardwick came to deliver a music workshop. We all enjoyed playing the glockenspiels.
Autumn 2
Remembrance day
We remebered the people from the wars who suffered and lost their lives. We prayed for peace across the world. We were very lucky to meet some veterans and we thanked them for being brave and they chatted to us and answered our questions. We even met Herbert who is 100 years old!
World of work week
We had some visitors for World of work week. Dewi came to tell us about his job in Airbus as an engineer.
Mr Hughes came to talk to us and answer our questions about his work as a gardener. We are looking forward to working with him and doing some outdoor activities.
