Dosbarth Meithrin / Nursery Class

In Nursery we have had a wonderful start to our Spring term. We started the term by exploring the snow and ice. We played outside in the snow, we talked about temperature, we made icebergs in the water tray for the Polar animals and we have painted ice using pipettes and brushes.

We have been talking about the 3 Kings going on their journey to visit Baby Jesus. We have made maps, floor maps and we have been directing Sphero to the stable. We have really enjoyed listening to the story ‘A Star in a Jar’. We have made wishes upon the stars, collaged stars wands for our friends and we have made our own impressions of Vincent Van Gogh’s ‘A Starry Night’.

Nursery have had great start to the school year. The Nursery children have settled into our morning routine well. We have been learning about ourselves and our families. We have talked about our likes and dislikes and how we are special and unique. We read the story of Elmer and we talked about how Elmer is different and unique. We have mixed colours and collaged an Elmer. We are now learning about the Season of Autumn and we have been making Harvest baskets to display in Church.
