Welcome to Year 6.
We intend to make sure your last year of primary school is fun whilst learning lots of news skills to take away with you!
We have a class pet, a hamster called Nugget, that pupils help to care for every day.
During the first term we will attend swimming every Friday which costs £2 a week for the bus. This needs to be paid on Parent Pay.
We will also be having Rugby lessons from a local Wrexham coach every Wednesday afternoon.
Our first topic is War and conflict and we will look closer at elements pupils choose to learn more about.
In Numeracy we will be looking at Place value, rounding numbers, multiplying large numbers and data with graphs.
We communicate to parents vias the seesaw app, where you can message me any queries etc as well as enjoying seeing your child’s work.
We will also be learning Welsh, Spanish and BSL.
We have an open door policy and I’m always happy to answer questions at the door, however due to the fact I need to be with the pupils if there is ever an issue that you feel needs longer to discuss then please drop a message on seesaw and we can arrange a convenient time at the soonest opportunity.
Myself, Mrs Priest Jones and Mrs Anthony are very happy to be teaching your child this year and are excited at what the year ahead will hold for us all.
