Welcome to year 6!
This term our topic is Blue Planet, before Christmas the children were given the opportunity to suggest what they would like to learn. In response to this we will be looking at the Polar regions, pollution and plastic in our oceans and enjoying a trip to Blue planet aquarium.
In maths we will be developing skills in calculating area and perimeter and handling data (Mean, median, mode and range.)
In literacy we will be studying MacBeth and will have several opportunities for roleplay.
PE will be a Wednesday and Friday in the hall this year, please make sure PE kits are in school.
Homework is a half-termly pick and mix list based on our areas of learning this term, children should be reading regularly at home and practising times tables.
If you have any questions or concerns, please remember St. Anne’s has an open door policy.
