Our School Council is made up of two representatives from each year group, from Year 2 to Year 6. The children took part in a vote to elect pupils for important roles, including Chairperson, Vice Chair, and Secretary. During their first meeting, the councillors reflected on the importance of gathering the voices and ideas of their peers to help guide their work. This will ensure that the School Council focuses on the things that matter most to everyone in our school community throughout the coming academic year.

2024-2025
This academic year each class has chosen 2 representatives to share their classes ideas. We meet on a Wednesday lunchtime. School council had a vote to chose head councilor and a deputy councilor for the school. We also have a secretary who take notes from each meeting. Each class representatives feedback to their class any ideas or concerns they have about the school.
As a council we discuss different ideas and if they are viable we ask the headteacher if we can pursue them. Sometimes this will involve fundraising and sometimes we raise money for new playground equipment.
So far this academic year we have created new characters linked to the curriculums four purposes. We have:

Ellie The Enterprising Elephant
Ethan The Ethical Eagle
Amber The Ambitious Alligator
After the councilors had a meeting with the headteacher, they became more aware of how important attendance is within the school. The children have created a suggestions box in our schools main corridor to gather the responses across the different year groups.
