Ein Criw Cymraeg

Meet the Criw. Dyma’r Criw.

These are the representatives on the Criw Cymraeg for 2023/2024.

The Language Charter encourages participation from every member of the school community, and members of the school workforce and council, the pupils and their parents, school governors and the wider community are all encouraged to take full ownership of it. We keep Mr Hugh Griffiths our Welsh governor informed of our progress. The Criw Cymraeg (Welsh Crew) are instrumental in leading and driving the Language Charter forward at Ysgol Santes Anne.

The simple objective of the Language Charter is to provide a clear framework, which can be used to promote and increase the use of Welsh by pupils in a whole school context. The Charter’s main aim is to promote a strong Welsh ethos in our school and to provide a range of enriching activities that propel the children to enjoy learning Welsh.

Y Gwobr Efydd

We are working hard towards our Bronze Award this year.

Our targets are clearly displayed yn y neuadd and we regularly update them.

This is near the start of our journey. We have some targets ticked off and we are aiming to tick all of them to acheive the Bronze Award – Y Gwobr Efydd.

We are hoping to get our Gwobr Efydd very soon. We have ticked off all of the targets.

Diwrnodau Arbennig

We have helped to organise the school eisteddfod, the Dydd Gwyl Dewi parade and Dydd Miwsig Cymru.

FFion Evans won the competition to design a Croeso poster, which is now displayed in the entrance hall. Da iawn Ffion!

Patrwn yr Wythnos

We meet regularly to decide on our Patrwm yr wythnos which is then displayed around the school.

A sentence pattern is displayed in the hall where everyone can see it. Criw Cymraeg report back to their class with the patrwm and encourage their classmates to use the patrwm whenever they can.

Cofiwch i fod yn gwrtais!

Remember to use your manners to say thank you!

Use this phrase when saying goodbye!

Dw i’n hapus wedi blino

drist bendigedig gyffrous sal

Remeber to come and write a question or put your answer on the wal graffiti.

APPIAU CYMRAEG

Here are some of the websites and apps that children use in school and can be used at home.

Criw Cymraeg used Adobe Creative to make these posters to encourage the pupils to use the Appiau Cymraeg.
